Many people plan what they will eat, what they will wear, where they will go to college, and where they will live. People also plan for marriage and retirement, but fail to prepare for what is most important; life after death (Matthew 6:19-21). Have you thought about what happens when you die? Are you ready for life after the - (dash)? We all have a date we are born. I was born August 27th, 1979. Each of us have an unexpected date we will die and meet God face to face. "The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years" (Psalm 90:10). When I was younger, I thought I was going to Heaven by being a good person. A friend showed me the Bible says, "there is none righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10). The Bible says we can not enter into Heaven by good works, acts of service or by "being a good person" (Galatians 2:16,21). "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The Bible is clear that you will go to either Hell or Heaven when you die. Not for 7 minutes, not for 7 days, not for 7 years, not for 70 years, but forever! Once you die, you can not go from Hell to Heaven (Luke 16:19-31). Friend, please think about eternity and where you will spend it. You were created for relationship with God. Your sins have separated you from God and Heaven. Repent; turn from believing that you can save yourself. Place your trust and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Take a moment and pray. Ask God to forgive you of all of your sins. Thank God for sending His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you. Get to know God through a personal relationship through Jesus, prayer (conversation with God), and reading the Bible. Acts 3:19,24, 1John 5:11,12
