Instructions: Hold Cards about one inch apart, curving the same direction, like this: [Image] Which one is longer? Now switch the cards... Now which one is longer? It's an optical Illusion - they're actually both the same size!
Card OneOur eyes can deceive us sometimes, can't they? But, they aren't the only thing. This world can deceive you too. Everything in this world gives you the feeling that life will go on forever and that's just not true. The ultimate truth is that everyone at some point will die. One day, even you will die. Will you go to Heaven or will you spend an eternity in Hell? How can you know for sure? Answer these questions: Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God’s name in vain? The Bible says, “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” Have you ever hated anyone? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, and a murderer-at-heart. Picture yourself in a courtroom, guilty of many serious crimes...
Card Two - Read Card One First!
The fine is DEATH. You are being led off to the execution, when the judge himself steps down and takes your punishment for you - he sacrifices his own life for yours! Justice has been served and you get to go free. You’re still guilty, but someone else paid your fine for you! That’s what Jesus Christ did for you 2,000 years ago. He paid the penalty for your sins (the death penalty) by taking God’s wrath on the cross. He defeated death by rising from the dead three days later. The Bible says, “But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) God promises eternal life to those who turn from their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone to save them. Don’t be foolish! Don’t put it off until tomorrow... You may not have tomorrow. Then read your Bible and obey what you read.
