What are you living for? Fame, money or status? To live for anything other than God is sin. The Bible says that we "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This means that our God given goal in life is to glorify and live for the one true God. We sin and fail to glorify the only true God when we are drunk, selfish, greedy, covetous, full of lust, slanderous, gossiping, hating others, hating God, blasphemous and so on. My friend, you and I have sinned against the very God who has given us life by loving things (basketball, money, pleasure, TV, people, possessions, alcohol etc) more than Him. This makes us idolaters in His sight. The Bible warns" Do not be decieved...Idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of heaven." Idolaters like you and I will justly be sent to hell because we have rejected the God who we know exists. Even though we deserve His wrath He is merciful and gracious to all who turn from their wicked ways and trust in Christ who is the only Savior from sin and death. Christ died for enemies of God, like you and I. He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the cross. After dying He victoriously rose from the dead proving that everything he taught was true and that His sacrifice was accepted by God the Father. My friend, Christ Jesus is alive and He commands you to repent (turn from your sin) and trust in Him to save you. Do this and you will enter His kingdom and your sins will be washed away. Christ is your only hope. I stand with God pleading with you to turn from your sin and trust Him. "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on Him." John 3:36 Obey the Son of God. Look to Him and live.
