Do you like dinosaurs? Most people do! Did you know that God made dinosaurs and even tells us about them in the Bible? In the book of Job, God talks about one of the biggest creatures He ever made. The Bible says it has a huge body as strong as iron, and is so powerful it can stand in the middle of a rushing river and not be disturbed! It eats grass like an ox, and even has a tremendous tail like a large tree. Sounds a lot like the two dinosaurs in the picture, doesn't it?
In addition to dinosaurs, God made everything on this earth. including you! Because He loves us, He tells us in the Bible how we can be in heaven with Him. He gave us the Ten Commandments to help us see how good or bad we are. Let's look at a few of them. Have you ever lied? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Have you always obeyed your parents? If you have ever hated someone, the Bible says that's like committing murder in your heart. The Ten Commandments show us how bad we really are, and they are the standard God will use to judge our lives. One day, God will punish all people who have broken any of the Ten Commandments. They will be sent to a place called “hell”—a really bad place that you don’t want to go to.
Even though that’s a scary thought, there is GOOD NEWS! God loves us so much that He made a way for us to be forgiven so we don’t have to be punished. He sent His son, Jesus Christ down to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life, then He went to the cross to pay the penalty for sin, taking the punishment we deserve. After three days, Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death! So what can you do? The Bible says you should put your faith in what Jesus did on the cross - stop believing that being "good" will get you to heaven! The Bible says that God will give you a new heart that will want to obey Him and do what He wants you to do. He will help you stop doing the things that are bad. Get a Bible and read it every day so you can learn more about Jesus!
