Tract Text:
When people think of dinosaurs, many immediately think of millions of years and evolution. How old is the earth? Did we evolve from ape-like ancestors, or were we “created in God’s image” as the Bible says (Genesis 1:27)? The evidence for a Creator is there and your eternity depends on it. If there is a God, do you think you are a good person and will go to heaven? Let’s look at the Ten Commandments to see if you meet God’s standard. Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, or dishonored your parents? Have you looked with lust? God says that’s the same as committing adultery in your heart (Matthew 5:27,28). If you have broken just one of these Commandments, God sees you as guilty of sin (breaking His moral Law). The penalty of sin is death and eternity in hell.
Do you see the predicament you’re in? God knows your every thought, word, and deed, and your conscience confirms that you’re guilty. What will you say in your defense? No amount of good works will help your case. An eternal fine must be paid. The only way your fine can be paid is if God pays that fine Himself. So 2,000 years ago, God became human in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived the sinless life we couldn’t, and then offered Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin. Then He proved he was God by rising from the dead. God commands that you repent and place your trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation, not in your own deeds. Cry out to God, confessing and forsaking your sins. God promises eternal life and a new heart that will desire righteousness. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read.
