Dear Muslim Friend,
We both have a woman’s heart. Regardless of our background, or the language we speak, we long to be loved. We desire to give and receive honor. We want to feel safe and protected, along with our families. We want to be treated as valued people, with complete equality in God’s eyes. We want to experience peace and joy, and forgiveness when we make a mistake. We want hope and assurance, not just for today, but for eternity. We both have this dream, and it seems like an impossibility, but it is not!
Surah 10:94 says, “if you, prophet, (Muhammad) are in doubt about what We have revealed to you, ask those who have been reading the scriptures before you. The Truth has come to you from your Lord, so be in no doubt and do not deny God’s signs…”
Your prophet, Jesus, lived 600 years before Muhammad. Muhammad was aware of the wisdom regarding him from the Injeel (John 1:1+2) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.”
John 1:14, “and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.”
Do you remember, dear friend, the story of Abraham, when God asked him to sacrifice his son? Abraham obeyed God, but before he could slay his son, God, out of love and mercy, supplied a ransom for him in the form of a lamb/ram. Similarly, because God loves us, God has supplied a ransom for us in the person of Jesus. John 1:29, says, The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.”
Your prophet, Jesus, is my Lord and Savior. He indeed embodies grace and truth. He is the reason I do not need to fear punishment or hell when I die. When he shed his blood on the cross, and I accepted this sacrifice as a ransom for my sins, I was welcomed as his child for eternity. When I die he will be waiting for me with open arms. This he has promised and assures me. (John 14: 1-4) And the promise is for you and for everyone who will accept the sacrifice he made to ransom us. God loves us that much!
[Sura 7:188/72:20-22, the prophet of Islam has not power to hurt or help anyone, neither can he save himself from the Judgement of God].
Why would God send a son to die? The reason is:
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
Here are some verses that will offer you encouragement as God’s child. Concerning:
Love – 1 John 4:16, Jeremiah 31:3, Hope – Psalm 31: 24, Joy – Psalm 33:22, Protection – Proverbs 18:10, 1 Peter 3:13, Brotherly Love – 1 John 4:7,8, Equality for all – Galatians 3:28, Peace – Isaiah 32:17, John 14:27, Forgiveness – Matthew 6: 14, Mark 11: 25 +26, Wisdom – Isaiah 53: 5+6, Eternal Life – John 5:11, John 1:29
If you would like to accept Jesus’ great ransom for you, you may pray like this: Dear God, I know you are Holy, and I know that by myself, I cannot keep your laws. Thank you for sending Jesus to pay the ransom for me and make me right with you. Guide me on the straight path. In Jesus’ name.
Do you have questions? I would be happy to talk with you. We are not so different. Perhaps we could go for a cup of coffee?
