The double message on the other side of this card is taken from Romans 6:23, where the Bible says, For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The fact that you will die one day is a sobering reality. Even more sobering is the fact that you will then spend eternity either suffering eternal punishment in the flames of hell or enjoying God’s presence in a place called heaven. Hebrews 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Matthew 10:28; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:15; John 14:1-6; Luke 24:51
But what makes the difference? According to Jesus Christ, it’s not the church you do or don’t attend, the prayers you do or don’t pray, the sacraments you do or don’t perform, the sins you have or haven’t committed, or the good deeds you have or haven’t done. Jesus said in John 5:24, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Do you believe Jesus’ words? Do you believe that you are a sinner? That you deserve the wrath of God? Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again three days later? That what He did for you is your only hope of finding God’s forgiveness? Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8; John 3:36; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Peter 3:18
Then call on Him today and be saved! The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 13, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. What you choose to do with Jesus Christ - it's a matter of LIFE or DEATH.
