Lust, Pornography, Adultery, Fornication... It’s all around. It seems to be the fabric of our every day lives; it feels so... natural. The Bible paints a different picture. Imagine a father has a $100 bill for his son the next day, but the son steals the money the night before. He took something good and made it evil. In the same way, sex is a blessing from God within a faithful marriage, but we have made it evil. The Bible says that fornicators, adulterers (and other sexual sinners) will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-10). Even looking with lust is the same as adultery in God’s eyes (Matt. 5:27-28). Sexual sin is THAT serious to God. However, it’s not our only problem. Telling even one lie makes you a liar, and stealing just one thing makes you a thief in God’s eyes. God will justly judge each of us on Judgment Day for our sins. The good news is that God took on flesh in the person of Jesus. Fully God and fully man, he came to earth, lived a sinless life, and took the Father’s wrath for sinners on the cross. He rose from the dead three days later. God commands you to repent and put your faith in Christ ALONE to save you. Stop counting on your “good works” to make you right with God. Cry out to Him for a new heart that will please him.
