Tract Text:

The word HOLY is used to describe God more than any other word in the Bible! It is mentioned over 590 times. HOLY is the only word in the Bible that is repeated three times when describing God: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts” (Is 6:3). The word holy means “set apart.” God is separate from everything sinful. He is the absence of sin. He is perfectly righteous. The Bible says that without holiness, “no man shall see the Lord” (Heb 12:14) How do you compare to his standard of holiness? Have you ever lied? Stolen, even something small? Disobeyed your parents? Lusted after a person? Used God's name irreverently? God's holiness demands justice. The eternal destiny of every sinner is “the lake of fire” (Rev 20:15). God in His holiness made a way for us to become holy and escape his wrath. He sent his Son, Jesus, who lived a holy life and suffered the wrath of God in your place, dying on the cross for your sins. Christ rose from the dead, proving Himself as the only way of salvation. Repent: have sorrow over your sins and turn from them. Trust in Christ alone as your only hope for salvation. God will forgive all your sins and give you a new heart “which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Eph 4:24).
