Tract Text:

Road construction is frustrating, but driving into a deep pit is even worse. You probably didn’t see that the road had become dangerous, but someone is still watching out for you. God allows detours so that you will choose the right path. The Bible says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but leads to death. Have you ever told a lie, taken something that didn’t belong to you, or used God’s name disrespectfully? If so, then God sees you as a liar, a thief, and a blasphemer. If you have ever lusted after someone, you are guilty of adultery. Judge for yourself; would God find you guilty or innocent of breaking The Ten Commandments? God must punish sin. He wants everyone in Heaven, but there can be no sin in Heaven. Now imagine you are on trial and are found guilty of a serious crime. The judge declares that the penalty is DEATH. You are guilty, but then the judge, who is innocent, willingly lays down his life to pay the price that justice demands - ensuring that you will live. That is exactly what Jesus did for sinners 2,000 years ago. Jesus, who is innocent, paid for our sin by taking God’s wrath on the cross. He defeated death by rising from the dead three days later. “But God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) If we repent and trust in Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. All who receive Him and believe in His name have the right to be called children of God. Get back on the right path. TODAY is the day of salvation. Then open the Bible daily and obey it.
