Tract Text:
“Cowboy Up!” This rodeo lingo conveys the idea of grit and self-reliance in the face of tough situations. While this might merit a hand, and shows “a lot of try,” it falls far short when it comes to our “final ride” into the sunset—our eternity! Taking a look at our own lives and being honest with ourselves is critical. We know it’s wrong to lie, steal, and lust after those we’re not married to. But we do them anyway. Listen to your conscience. Doing things like this makes us guilty before God on Judgment day, and that means eternity in Hell. But there's good news! 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ paid for the sins of His people. He took the punishment for sin upon Himself by taking the Father’s wrath and dying on the cross. Then He rose from the grave—defeating death. Jesus said, “Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Place your faith in Jesus Christ ALONE for salvation. Cry out to God, confessing and forsaking your sins. Trust in what Jesus did for salvation, not in your own deeds. Every second, two people die—that adds up to 150,000 men, women, and cowboys each and every day! That number could easily include you, on any given day! So you really can’t afford to put this off—eternity is literally one breath, one heartbeat, one unpredictable bronc-ride away! Today, could very well be your final rodeo—your “final ride? Are you fully prepared? Trust in Jesus Christ, and His finished work on the cross on your behalf. Transfer all of your cowboy self-confidence from yourself to Him now, before it is forever too late!
