Tract Text:
The only thing in which a person in this life is truly ever Saved from is SIN. We just have to look at the very first thing said of Jesus Christ in the New Testament is “Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people (not “from the wrath to come”) but from their Sins (Matthew 1:21).
Why is This So Important?
Well in Psalms It says: “Behold, I was shapen in Iniquity, In SIN my mother conceived me” (Psalms 51:5). In Romans it says: “For ALL have Sinned, and fall short of the Glory of God” (Romans 3:23). And in James we find: “For whoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is Guilty of ALL” (James 2:10). As we see, the plight of all people is grim and everyone is destitute. Unless we change course and deal with our problem of SIN, death (Eternal) is a certainty, for the soul that Sins shall surely die (Ezekiel 18:20). As our Lord said: “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that our sick” (Matthew 9:12). The only ones who really seek relief from the Great Physician are they that are sick of Sin - who long to be delivered from it’s God-dishonoring works and it’s soul- defiling pollutions..
Our only hope is to put our faith and trust and Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Sinless One. In Him, Whom God sent to be the propitiation (Sacrifice) for our Sins. In Essence, He was our Substitute on the Cross; who actually Bore the punishment of God in his body for all the Sins of those who would ever believe in Him. Christ was raised from the dead on the 3rd day for our Justification (Salvation). If we confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord & believe in our heart the Full Story of Christ which is ultimately validated by the Resurrection, You will be Saved Forever from your Sins and it’s Consequences - “For by Grace are ye Saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)
“The nature of Christ’s salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day "Evangelist." He announces a Saviour from Hell, rather than a Saviour from Sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness. Christ is a Saviour for those realizing something of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, who feel the awful burden of it on their conscience, who loathe themselves for it, who long to be freed from its terrible dominion; and a Saviour for no others. Were He to "save from Hell" those who were still in love with sin, He would be the Minister of sin, condoning their wickedness and siding with them against God. What an unspeakably horrible and blasphemous thing with which to charge the Holy One! (Excerpted from “Studies on Saving Faith” -A.W. Pink)
From books to pulpits and even Hollywood, the Jesus portrayed today is not the one of Scripture, but one of the evil imagination of ungodly professors who don’t know God or love Him, but are at enmity with Him. As mentioned by the Lord God in Jeremiah: “Yet they harkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their Evil heart, and went backwards and not forward” (Jeremiah 7:24). Man today has regressed instead of progressed and is now treasuring up wrath unto themselves against the Day of Wrath (Romans 2:5).
What Must I Do?
You must Turn or Burn.. As our Lord said: "I tell you, Unless ye Repent, you shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). We need to: "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found , call ye upon him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon"(Isaiah 55:6-7).
