Tract Text:
Scotland is a beautiful country; but, while natural wonders may make a land spectacular, what is it that makes a nation truly great? The Bible tells us: "Righteousness exalteth a nation: But sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14:34). True greatness is found in a nation being right with God. Yet, as a nation, Scotland is sinful. The unborn are murdered in the womb (abortion) and people seek to re-define marriage to allow same-sex marriage. Our nation is wicked and sinful! If we are honest, we too would realise that we are sinners. As individuals we lie, steal, hate, look with lust, get drunk, fail to love Jesus etc. It is because of our rebellion against God that we deserve judgement and punishment in Hell. However, God loves the Scottish people! The Bible says: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15). God loves His people so much, that He came to earth to take the punishment they deserve. We deserve to die because of our sin, but Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitute for sinners. Then, on the third day after He died, He rose again. Now, Jesus would command you to repent (turn from your sins) and trust that He died on the cross and rose again. If you do that you'll be forgiven of all your sin. The Bible says: "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, Call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:6-7). Please seek the Lord Jesus today!
