The most important question in life is this: Where will you go when you die? God tells us in His Word that it is “appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). God also warns us that there are only two places to go- Heaven and Hell. Whether you are a goody two-shoes or bad to the bone, you have certainly broken God’s moral law laid down in exodus 20- laws prohibiting lying, stealing, adultery, murder, blasphemy, idolatry, and disrespect to parents. James 2:10 tells us that even if you keep the whole law, if you break it in one point, you are guilty of all of it. Regardless of if you are a material girl, or a blue collar man, or something in between, you were born in sin (Psalms 51:5), and the penalty for this sin is both physical and eternal death (Romans 6:23). On Judgment Day, you would be declared guilty in God’s holy court of law. Thankfully, however, He sent his perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place. Because Jesus is fully God and fully human (Colossians 2:9), He is able to bear God’s wrath against sin so that you do not have to. You need to repent of your sin (Luke 13:3,5), trust in Christ alone for salvation through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and turn to Him as your Lord. This is called being born again (John 3:7), and you must do it to get to Heaven. If you have done this, you can let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org, and read the Bible and do what it says. Also, find a Bible-preaching church to attend to fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:25).
