Does God Love You???
We see everywhere “God Loves You” or “Jesus Loves You” or even “God is not angry with you..” These statements are a direct contradiction to God’s word which explicitly says: “God is angry with the wicked everyday” and “Hates all who do iniquity” (Psalm 5:5, 7:11). We also read in the bible “We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Yet we see/hear daily how God loves us. Certainly, God is love (we’re not refuting that) and because of His love He sent his one and only Son into the world that whosoever believes in Him would have Eternal life. However, the undeniable truth is that our sin is an affront to a Holy Righteous God and He’s not slack towards us. As we offend in many things and have treasured up a lifetime of sins; the hard reality is we’re under God’s wrath..and judgment awaits because of it. In this life, God may give you security (in jobs, houses, wealth, health..) by His common grace and you rely on that; yet His eyes are on your ways. Jesus’ own words say: “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I come not to send peace, but a sword!” (Matthew 10:34). Being a Christian divides from the world and Christ--You must begin to separate (from unbelieving family, earthly possessions and worldliness) as a persons foes will be ones of their own household. In essence, hating your life in this world in order to save it to life Eternal.
Jesus must be preeminent, forsaking all to follow Him--And why you may ask? Because of the infinite price He paid dying on the Cross for sinners having taken the wrath of God for Sin and enduring the punishment in His body for iniquities; God being satisfied with Christ’s perfect offering raised Him from the dead. Therefore, if you believe in Him..what has happened to Him has happened to you. God who is rich in mercy, has shown compassion and lovingkindness on the believing sinner by granting forgiveness of all and every sin(s) and wonderfully made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him--"The Glories of the Gospel of Christ" who's deserving of all praise, honor and glory for now and evermore!
